PS
Polystyrene
PS (polystyren) is a rigid, transparent thermoplastic with good machinability and a low price. The material is easy to saw, drill and mill, and provides a smooth surface without further processing. PS is often used for prototypes, displays, signs and packaging inserts. The material has good electrical insulation and low water absorption. PS is however more brittle than PC and PMMA, and is best suited for applications without mechanical stress.
