POM
Polyoxymethylene (Acetal, POM H)
POM is one of the most widely used technical plastics and the first choice for precision parts and moving machine components. The material has high stiffness, low friction, and excellent dimensional stability. POM provides excellent surface finish when turned and milled, and is easy to process with tight tolerances. The material is resistant to oils, fats, and many solvents, and absorbs minimal moisture. We have POM in plates, rods, tubes, and profiles, with variants such as POM C, POM H, POM C FG (food grade), POM+PTFE, and POM+PE.
Properties
Very low shrinkage and creep
Naturally sliding surface without lubrication
Excellent resistance to abrasion
High stiffness and tensile strength
Dimensionally stable in humid environments
Excellent surface finish when turning and milling
