PK
Polyketone
PK (polyketon) is a relatively new technical plastic with excellent chemical resistance, high abrasion resistance and good mechanical strength. The material can replace PA and POM in demanding applications where chemical resistance and low water absorption are important. PK has naturally low friction and good dimensional stability in humid environments. A unique property of PK is that it is manufactured using CO as a raw material, which makes it a more environmentally friendly alternative. The material is easily processed with conventional tools.
Properties
Resistant to fuels, oils, lubricants, and many solvents
Better abrasion resistance than PA and POM
Naturally slippery surface
Dimensionally stable in humid environments
Easy to machine with conventional tools
Made from CO as a raw material
