PFA
Perfluoralkoxy
PFA is a fluoroplastic with properties similar to PTFE but with the advantage that it can be melt processed. The material has the best chemical resistance among all plastics and withstands temperatures up to 260 °C. PFA has very low friction, is non-stick and optically clear in thin sections. The material is mainly used in the semiconductor industry for wet processes and in the chemical process industry for tanks, pipes and valves. PFA is more expensive than PTFE but offers better mechanical properties and easier processing.
