ECTFE

Ethylene-Chlorotrifluoroethylene

ECTFE is a fluoroplastic with exceptional chemical resistance and better mechanical properties than PTFE and FEP. The material, also known under the Halar brand, is self-extinguishing and FDA-approved for food contact. ECTFE withstands strong acids, bases, oxidizing agents, and solvents, and also has excellent UV resistance. This makes the material suitable for everything from chemical process industry and semiconductor manufacturing to architectural facade panels. ECTFE has an operating temperature range from -76 °C to +150 °C.
