ABS
Acrylonitrile-Butadiene-Styrene
ABS is a tough thermoplastic that combines good surface finish with high mechanical strength. The material is easy to process and can be painted, glued, and metalized. ABS is widely used in industry, from prototypes and casings to vehicle interiors and medical products. Thanks to its good balance between price and performance, ABS is one of the most popular choices for design details that require toughness without compromising surface quality. We have ABS in plates, round bars, and tubes in stock.
Properties
Retains its toughness even at lower temperatures
Smooth surface that is easy to paint and metallize
Low shrinkage and good form stability
Can be turned, milled, drilled, and sawed without problems
Good dielectric strength
Resistant to diluted acids, alkalis, and many oils
