La estabilidad térmica excepcional es una de las características más importantes de este material. Presenta un punto de fusión muy alto y puede soportar temperaturas extremadamente altas, hasta 330°C. Conserva sus propiedades mecánicas incluso a temperaturas elevadas, lo que lo hace adecuado para su uso en entornos donde la estabilidad térmica es fundamental. Ofrece también una resistencia mecánica y rigidez destacadas, así como una excelente resistencia química. Este material es muy resistente a los productos químicos y la corrosión, y posee propiedades aislantes eléctricas excelentes.
